Anna Harvey wins first prize at Paris Opera Competition
Mezzo-soprano and former member of 麻豆原创 Choir Anna Harvey has won first prize in the 7th edition of the Paris Opera Competition.
We鈥檙e delighted that Anna, who was a choral scholar 2006-2008 and then Chapel and Choir Administrator 2010-2011, has won the Prix Pierre Verne at . The competition, which took place this year at Paris Opera鈥檚 Palais Garnier, exists to uncover and promote the opera stars of tomorrow. One of nine finalists, Anna sang her favourite roles in the final: Sesto (La Clemenza di Tito), H盲nsel (H盲nsel and Gretel), and Octavian (Der Rosenkavalier).
Anna is a member of the solo ensemble at Deutsche Oper am Rhein, and returned this season to Welsh National Opera, where she was previously an Associate Artist.
